Elena Pasquali, co-founder and CEO of EcoSteer
Welcome to ‘Her Impact,’ a series celebrating remarkable women who are making a difference in the world. Join us as we delve into the inspiring stories of these extraordinary individuals.
Today we feature Elena Pasquali, co-founder and CEO of EcoSteer. We asked Elena to share her insights with us about empowerment and how a more positive impact can be made in the world of entrepreneurship, business and specifically #FemTech.
Here is what she had to say:
Q: Please introduce yourself
A: my name is Elena Pasquali and I am Ecosteer’s co-founder and CEO.
Q: What does “empowerment” mean to you?
A: Having the confidence to say and do what you think is right, without that gnawing fear of being mistaken.
Q: What Inspired to become who you are and do what you do now?
A: I’ve been working for large corporations, and I’ve always been looking at problems from a different angle than all of my peers – and was always told that ‘this is not the way we do things here’. Starting my own companies was my way to try to make my ideas become reality.
Q: What would you tell your younger self?
A: Do not be afraid. You are much better than you think!
Q: In your opinion, what would positively impact women’s success in the world (business/tech/other)?
I am afraid right now the only answer is – the law. At the current rate of change, women are not expected to hold 50% of corporate board seats until 2030. Only rules imposing ‘pink quotas’ can accelerate that.
Q: What advice would you give to young women who want to make a difference in the world?
A: You can only be brave if you are afraid. Embrace your fear, start acting brave and after a while you won’t have to act anymore.
Thank you for being part of ‘Her Impact,’ where we honor the strength, resilience, and achievements of women who are shaping our future. Stay tuned for more empowering stories.
